I recently bought the following albums on CD. If you don’t know which music to put on, you can also check them out on Spotify. It’s a selection of folk, indie, rock, pop, downtempo and soul. Music to relax on.

Angus & Julia Stone – Down The Way
- Genre: Folk Rock, Acoustic
- Year: 2010
- Producers: Angus & Julia Stone
- Discography: second studio album
- My reason for CD purchase: I played this album on Spotify to calm my crying baby with cramps. It worked and that’s why I also wanted the original CD in my music collection.
Feist – Metals
- Genre: Alternative, Indie Rock, Indie Pop
- Year: 2011
- Producers: Feist, Chilly Gonzales, Mocky, Valgeir Sigurðsson

Damien Rice – 9
- Genre: Folk Rock
- Year: 2006
- Producer: Damien Rice
- Discography: second studio album
- My reason for CD purchase: I liked his debut studio album “O” and was interested in this album because of the single “9 Crimes”.
Birdy – Birdy
- Genre: Acoustic, Indie Rock
- Year: 2011
- Producers: Jim Abbiss, Rich Costey, James Ford,…
- Discography: debut studio album
- My reason for CD purchase: I knew the single “Skinny Love” (a cover from Bon Iver) and was curious about the rest of the album. And I always like to give debut albums a try.
Everything But The Girl – Amplified Heart
- Genre: Folk Pop, Downtempo
- Year: 1994
- Producers: Tracey Thorn, Ben Watt, John Coxon
- Discography: eighth studio album
- My reason for CD purchase: I have a few albums of Everything But The Girl: “Walking Wounded” (1996) and “Temperamental” (1999). I like them, so I also wanted this album in my collection with their big hit single “Missing”.
Erykah Badu – Live
- Genre: R&B, Neo Soul, Hip Hop
- Year: 1997
- Producers: Kedar Massenburg, Erykah Badu, Norman Hurt
- Discography: live concert album
- My reason for CD purchase: I have her debut album “Baduizm” which released earlier that year in 1997. I read reviews about that album, which also mentioned this live CD that was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 1999 Grammy Awards. So I was really curious about this CD.
